Gardners Ground Maintenance is a sole trader business operated by Chris Gardner, based in Roche, Cornwall PL26 8HN. We provide gardening and ground maintenance services across Cornwall.

2. Services

We offer gardening services including but not limited to: lawn cutting, hedge trimming, scarifying, lawn treatment, garden clearance, and power washing. All work is carried out to a professional standard with appropriate equipment.

Service descriptions and pricing on our website are indicative. Final pricing depends on the size, condition, and access of your property. We will always agree a price before commencing work.

3. Booking & Appointments

Bookings made via our website are requests and are subject to confirmation. We will confirm your appointment by email or phone within 24 hours.

We will make every reasonable effort to attend at the agreed time. If we need to reschedule, we will notify you as soon as possible and arrange an alternative date.

You may cancel or reschedule a booking by contacting us at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment at no charge.

4. Pricing & Payment

• All prices quoted are inclusive — we are not VAT registered.
• A minimum call-out charge of £40 applies to all services.
• Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed.
• We accept bank transfer and Stripe (card) payments.
• Invoices are sent by email after work is completed.
• Payment terms: within 14 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed.

5. Weather & Access

Gardening is weather-dependent. We reserve the right to postpone visits during severe weather conditions (heavy rain, high winds, frost, or extreme heat) for the safety of our team and the health of your garden.

If we cannot carry out scheduled work due to weather, we will notify you promptly and reschedule at the earliest opportunity at no additional cost.

You are responsible for ensuring safe access to your property. Please inform us of any hazards, locked gates, pets, or access restrictions.

6. Liability

We carry public liability insurance and will carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. However:

• We are not liable for damage to items left on lawns, hidden objects, or underground utilities not disclosed to us.
• We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or deterioration to garden features.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the service provided.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

7. Your Responsibilities

• Ensure safe access to your property on the scheduled date.
• Inform us of any hazards, pets, or special requirements.
• Remove valuable or fragile items from the work area.
• Advise us of any boundary disputes or shared garden areas.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect and process your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect:

• Name, email address, phone number, property address and postcode
• Booking details and service preferences
• Payment and invoice records
• Communications (emails, chat messages, phone call notes)

Why we collect it:

• To provide and manage our gardening services
• To communicate with you about appointments and invoices
• To improve our services

How we store it:

• Your data is stored securely using encrypted services (Google Workspace, Stripe)
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
• Data is retained for as long as you are an active customer, plus 6 years for tax records

Your rights:

9. Website & Cookies

Our website uses essential local storage for functionality (chatbot, invoice generator). We do not use tracking cookies or analytics. Third-party services (Google Fonts, Font Awesome, Pexels) may set their own cookies — please refer to their privacy policies.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website (text, images, design) is the property of Gardners Ground Maintenance unless otherwise attributed. Stock photos are licensed from Pexels.

11. Governing Law
